Classic Spring Wedding at The Historic Cottage in San Clemente, California

Andrea and Kyle’s wedding was a timeless and elegant spring celebration at The Historic Cottage in San Clemente State Beach. This charming venue features unique architecture, colorful gardens, and an open courtyard overlooking the ocean, creating the perfect backdrop for a refined coastal wedding. Kari and her team from Party On Events brought every detail together beautifully, including thoughtful touches inspired by the couple’s shared love of bird watching. One of our favorite elements was the artful bird illustrations displayed on each table beside our floral centerpieces and taper candles, all glowing under a canopy of string lights.

For the reception florals, we blended matte gold compote vases, vintage-inspired champagne compotes, and curated bud vase groupings to create variation and visual interest throughout the courtyard. The designs featured cream and blush blooms, including roses, lisianthus, ranunculus, and sweet pea, paired with soft filler florals and greenery for a full, garden-style aesthetic. We also designed matching urn arrangements on white pedestals that framed their sweetheart table beautifully, highlighting the special couple throughout their reception. A standout detail was the couple’s wedding cake, adorned with simple and elegant floral accents featuring butterfly ranunculus, fluffy lisianthus, spray roses, and classic Italian ruscus. The velvet tablecloth chosen by the planning team added a luxurious touch to the display and tied the entire look together.
